Deep in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is China's largest desert, the Taklamakan Desert.
Some off-road enthusiasts have successfully crossed the desert in this April.
They departed from Yuli County in Xinjiang and completed a journey of 1,850 km in 18 days.
The Taklamakan Desert is known as the "sea of death." Its name means "go in and you won't come out" in Uygur.
