Egypt's revenue from the Suez Canal reached a record high of 629 million U.S. dollars in April, the canal's authority said on Sunday.
The head of Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie, said that the navigation traffic in April witnessed the crossing of 1,929 ships from both directions, compared to 1,814 ships last year.
The canal also recorded April its highest monthly net tonnage, which totaled 114.5 million tons, Rabie added.
