The Egyptian Ministry of Local Development said that shops and malls are allowed to open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. while the cafes and restaurants are allowed to open from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. in the next morning. "During Thursdays, Fridays and official vacations, the working hours will be extended for one more hour," the ministry said in a statement. Meanwhile, restaurants will be allowed to run delivery and takeout services around the clock. This year's period of summer working hours will last until September 29.
