Indonesian economy recorded a 5.01 percent growth year on year in the first quarter of 2022, indicating a steady economic recovery.
The Central Agency of Statistics on Monday said the low base effect in the first quarter last year, which contracted 0.7 percent, also contributed to the growth.
According to Margo Yuwono, head of the agency, the growth indicated that Indonesia maintained a steady economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
