Community members gathered for a vigil outside the Tops supermarket Sunday, a day after a gunman killed 10 people in the city of Buffalo, New York State.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul Sunday announced flags on state buildings will be flown at half-staff on May 16 in honor of the victims of the horrific shooting.
"The violence we witnessed at the hands of this white supremacist is sickening, unacceptable and it must stop here," Hochul said, adding that "an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us, and we must confront white supremacy head on."
An 18-year-old U.S. white man was arraigned on Saturday night hours after shocking the nation by live-streaming his mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo.
