The country's matriculation exam pass rate this year was 46.88 percent, up by 14.82 percentage points from the 2019-2020 academic year, official data showed. There were 281,751 students sitting for the matriculation exam this year, which was held at local and foreign exam centers in late March and early April. In the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw, 7,600 students passed this year's matriculation exam, with a passing rate of 47.18 percent.
