STORYLINE:
Following multiple mass shootings in the U.S., many Americans have spoken out against the country's inaction on gun violence.
Uma Menon, a Princeton University student, published an opinion article titled "Thoughts and prayers aren't enough" recently and urged politicians to take action.
The article said on average, there is one mass shooting with roughly 110 people killed by gun violence per day in this country and "what we didn't see, however, was meaningful policy change."
The college student wrote "we need comprehensive reform that limits the circulation of assault weapons and promotes responsible gun ownership in our country."
