The competition was organized by the Tunisian Wushu Kungfu Federation. Riad Elhaji, president of the federation, told Xinhua that young Tunisians are very interested in martial arts and sanda. There are more than 150 martial arts and sanda clubs across the country, which regularly organize member activities. He said that more than 10,000 people practiced martial arts and sanda nationwide before 2020. Although the number has declined due to COVID-19, it will increase as social activities gradually return to normal.
