"On Tuesday, a court in east China's Fujian Province ruled in favor of local villagers demanding the return of a stolen Buddha statue from a Dutch collector."
This sculpture was CT scanned in 2013 and shown to contain the mummified body of a Song Dynasty (960-1279) Buddhist monk called Zhanggong Zushi. It had been housed in Puzhao Temple, co-owned by Yangchun Village and Dongpu Village in Datian County in Sanming.
