The first edition of the Roving Theater Festival is underway in the Jordanian capital Amman under the theme of "Amman Spaces."
The festival is held in open outdoor spaces including squares, parks, and archaeological and tourist sites rather than traditional indoor theaters, aiming to deepen the communication with the audience, according to the festival organizer.
The festival kicked off its activities with the Jordanian adaptation of the play "Salome" created by poet and playwright Oscar Wilde.
The festival stages nine theatrical plays performed by actors from Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Iraq and Morocco, providing the opportunity for actors to present theatrical performances in an unconventional atmosphere outside traditional theaters.
