STORYLINE:
People were bracing for extreme temperatures in Jerusalem of Israel as a heatwave hit the city in the past few days.
Officials advised people in Jerusalem to avoid exposure to the sun, and the elderly and those with chronic health problems should take special care.
Teddy Park, located right beneath the Old City Walls opposite the Jaffa Gate, honors the Jerusalem Foundation's founder and legendary Mayor of Jerusalem Teddy Kollek. In the center of the park, there's a fountain which becomes an attraction for children and adults during the heatwave.
Meanwhile, Europe has sweltered through a heatwave that sparked fires in the continent's south, and caused temperature above 40 degrees Celsius in the United Kingdom for the first time on record.
