He said that the government will provide a monthly subsidy of about 65 U.S. dollars for each tourism industry practitioner during the tourist season, as well as financial support and personnel training for tourism departments. He also said the government would negotiate with unions to raise wages for tourism workers. Tunisia received a total of 2.62 million tourists in the first seven months of 2022, an increase of 113 percent over the same period in 2021.
