According to a statement by the authority, Osama Rabie, head of the SCA, said this increase in revenue is up from 531.8 million U.S. dollars during the same month in the previous fiscal year. In July 2022, 2,103 vessels crossed the canal, compared to 1,670 vessels in July 2021. Moreover, 125.1 million tonnes of cargos were shipped through the canal, up from 105.8 million tonnes in July 2021.
