Authorities in Gaza said Sunday that the Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since Friday had killed at least 43 Palestinians and caused severe damage to the infrastructure in the enclave.
According to a statement released by the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza on Sunday evening, the deaths include 11 children and four women while 311 others were injured in the airstrikes.
The media office run by Hamas, the ruling faction of Gaza, said in a statement that Israeli warplanes destroyed nine residential buildings and damaged about 1,500 housing units since Friday.
