STORYLINE:
A wildfire in the hilly and wooded region in east Spain's Comunidad Valenciana remained active on Thursday, after burning an estimated 13,100 hectares of land in three days.
Ximo Puig, leader of the Valencia region, informed the press that although overnight rain had "reduced the flame to the point of almost disappearing around the perimeter," the fire was still active and "there are still very hot areas," which had reactivated with changing winds during the morning.
