The Indian capital has emerged as the state selling the maximum number of electric vehicles (EVs) in India, as a total of 64,264 EVs have been sold here in the past two years since the EV policy was launched, said an official at Delhi's Transport Department on Friday.
According to an estimate, the number of EVs sold in Delhi is nearly 40 percent of the total vehicles sold in the national capital over the past two years.
It is also learnt that during 2022 every fifth EV sold in India is sold in Delhi. A total of 33,440 EVs have been sold in Delhi this year so far.
