(220903) -- XIAMEN, Sept. 3, 2022 (Xinhua) -- Aerial photo taken on Aug. 30, 2022 shows the construction site of the Xiamen north railway station, a part of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway, in Xiamen City of southeast China's Fujian Province. With a designed speed of 350 km per hour, the 277-km Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway is expected to slash the travel time from the province's capital Fuzhou to the tourist attraction Xiamen within one hour.             Aerospace Themed Tourism - China

            An aerial drone photo taken on Dec. 27, 2025 shows the construction site of the second phase of the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site (below), with its first phase and the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the background (above), in Wenchang, south China's Hainan Province. The Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site located in Wenchang in the northeastern part of Hainan Island is China's first independently designed and constructed green, eco-friendly and modern spaceport. It currently operates two all-weather, multi-directional launch pads, capable of handling heavy payloads. Wenchang is also home to China's first commercial aerospace launch site, which has sent more than 90 satellites into their planned orbits since its maiden launch in November 2024. Highly frequent rocket launches have driven the aerospace-themed tourist services in the city. The rocket-viewing platform there attracts lots of spectators for each launch.
