They will set off from south China's Guangzhou to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking CRRC's first batch of ART trains delivered to overseas users. According to CRRC, the unmanned train integrates the advantages of trams and buses with merits of low cost, short construction period and flexible operation. It can run on the pre-defined trajectory, using the sensor onboard to identify the virtual rail on the ground. On a single charge, the trains can have a cruising range of 80 kilometers. They were specially customized for the UAE with a roof material that resists direct sunlight and high temperature to better adapt to the local natural conditions
