The festival ended on Friday in India. Every year, the idols are carried in public processions with music and group chanting, then immersed in a nearby body of water such as a river or sea, on the 14th day of the lunar fortnight. The elephant-headed god is traditionally worshipped in India before any major enterprise and is patronized across the Hindu religious society.
