Located in the center of Paris, on the bank of the Seine just north of the Notre Dame, the City Hall is a central spot to witness the history of France. The entirety of the current City Hall was rebuilt after the building was burnt down in 1871. On European Heritage Days, visitors could not only see the mayor's office up close, but also learn about the history of France via live explanations.
