The Netherlands celebrated Prince's Day on Tuesday.
It's the first time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 that the traditional event was held with public attendance.
Prince's Day is held every year in the Hague on the third Tuesday of September. It marks the opening of the Dutch parliamentary season, and on this day the reigning monarch outlines the government's plans for the year ahead.
On Tuesday, Dutch King Willem-Alexander opened the parliament with his annual speech delivered from the throne in the Hague, in which he admitted that the country is currently going through "a time of contradictions and uncertainty."
