STORYLINE:
Mountain gorillas, a species in danger of extinction, are still threatened by poaching, deforestation and even war in northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Since fighting resumed between rebels of the March 23 Movement (M23) and the Congolese army in March, environmental experts say insecurity has made life more difficult for these species.
On the sidelines of World Gorilla Day celebrated on September 24, Gorilla ambassadors, a program created by young people from the province of North Kivu (north-east) in 2019, targeted young schoolchildren from elementary school in Kibu
