The official data showed a total of 524 people were hospitalized for the mosquito-borne disease in the past 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. local time Wednesday, the highest number in a single day so far this year. According to the DGHS under the Ministry of Health, 373 people were diagnosed with dengue in Dhaka alone.
