Greece's 2023 draft budget, submitted to parliament on Monday, foresees a 2.1-percent growth of gross domestic product (GDP) next year, according to a release from the Finance Ministry.
"Greek economy has shown remarkable resilience," said the ministry in the release, adding that the growth rate for 2022 is estimated at 5.3 percent, up from 4.5 percent foreseen in the 2022 state budget.
Inflation is expected to stand at 8.8 percent in 2022 and 3 percent in 2023, while unemployment is estimated at 12.9 percent this year and 12.6 next year.
The primary surplus is expected to be 0.7 percent in 2023, up from a 1.7-percent deficit in 2022, the ministry said.
