Tanzanian and Kenyan leaders on Monday agreed to work towards eliminating trade barriers and improving trade ties between the two countries.
Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her Kenyan counterpart William Ruto made the call at a joint press briefing in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where they held bilateral talks.
President Hassan acknowledged that government officials in their two countries have made achievements in removing trade barriers.
