STORYLINE:
Afghanistan's only Confucius Institute, also known as the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Kabul University, has supported hundreds of young people to learn Chinese since its foundation in 2008.
Hamid Ghulam, director of the department, said the number of Chinese language learners has been on the rise in the past few years.
