Over 80 military trucks were released from the National Cereal and Produce Board depot to distribute the relief food as officials say the government is ready to deal with hunger issues. The Principal Secretary for Social Protection, Nelson Marwa called on the governors and county commissioners to give priority to schools while distributing the food. Marwa noted that the around 29 counties affected by hunger have already received food comprising of beans, rice and corned beef.
