Over 1,000 migratory birds, including some rare species, have arrived here en route southward. With continuous efforts to improve the ecological environment by locals, more and more birds choose to settle down in Ejin Banner. According to local authorities, the number of migratory bird species has increased from 14 in 2010 to 133 now, with a peak population of more than 100,000.
