STORYLINE:
An official from Indonesia's disaster agency said Sunday that the Indonesian government plans to rebuild hundreds of houses for victims of the quake striking the country's West Java province.
Suharyanto, head of the National Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency said the construction will start next week on a two-hectare land.
A total of 200 units of houses will be rebuilt in the new location.
The official said the government will provide financial assistance of up to 50 million rupiahs (3,177 U.S. dollars) for reconstruction of houses that have been severely damaged but are still eligible to be rebuilt in their original location.
The government will provide 25 million rupiahs (1,588.5 U.S. dollars) to quake victims whose houses were moderately damaged and 10 million rupiahs (635.40 U.S. dollars) to those whose houses
