The Traffic Monitoring Center tweeted that rainwater accumulated on Jounieh highway causing heavy traffic jams. Online videos circulated showing some cars being swept away by the torrents with motorists trying to get out of their vehicles. Juan Hobeiche, president of the Jounieh municipal council and president of the Federation of Municipalities of Kesrouan, told the local media that the main cause of the floods observed in Jounieh is due to an unusual amount of rainfall ove
