Kenya's state-owned electricity producer said Friday that it will use Chinese electric vehicles purchased through a competitive public tender to reduce carbon emissions.
The Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has so far purchased two such vehicles from JAC Motors as part of an effort to transform its petrol-powered vehicles into a fully green transport fleet.
