N. Korean submarine sinks

South Korean naval vessels patrol the waters off the country's east coast on June 23 after a captured North Korean submarine sank while being towed to Tonghae (5) port. The Seoul government said the submarine sank due to a loss of buoyancy at a point about 1.6 kilometers (1 miles) from shore.
