U.S. military plane crashes off Kochi

A Japanese Maritime Safety Agency patrol boat speeds to pick up one of debris (front) from a U.S. jet fighter that crashed in waters off Yasu, Kochi Prefecture, on Jan. 20. The pilot, Kevin Pactzold, was rescued uninjured by a helicopter sent by Kochi prefecture.
