Takanohana withdraws from sumo tourney

Yokozuna Takanohana decides March 24 to withdraw from the current Spring Grand Sumo Tournament due to an injury to his right shoulder suffered in the previous day's bout. The 26-year-old Takanohana shared the lead with four other wrestlers, with eight wins against two losses in the 15-day Osaka tourney. His withdrawal leaves the tournament without any grand champions participating.
