China blasts Cox report as being 'racist and arrogant'

Showing data at a Beijing press conference May 31, Zhao Qizheng, director of the State Council's information office, denounces a U.S. congressional report on China's alleged theft of U.S. nuclear and missile secrets as ''racially prejudiced.'' He described as ''wildly arrogant'' the suggestions in the U.S. report that advances made in China's development of defense technology could not have been made without the theft of U.S. technology.
