DPJ submits no-confidence motion against Obuchi cabinet
TOKYO, Japan - Naoto Kan, leader of the largest opposition Democratic Party of Japan, meets the press at the Diet building in Tokyo at midnight Aug. 10 after submitting a no-confidence motion against the cabinet of Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi in a move to block a set of controversial wiretapping bills becoming law.
