Kitty Hawk returns to Yokosuka

YOKOSUKA, Japan - The U.S. aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk returns to its home port of Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Aug. 25 after a six-month deployment overseas. The 81,123-ton Kitty Hawk left Yokosuka on March 2 for drills and was then sent to the Persian Gulf. It was in the Gulf until June to cover air patrols over Iraq, in place of the Theodore Roosevelt, which took part in the air campaign against Yugoslavia by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
