Jiang leaves for APEC summit

BEIJING, China - Chinese President Jiang Zemin(C), accompanied by his wife (L), shakes hands with Premier Zhu Rongji at the Great Hall of the People on Sept. 2 prior to departure on a trip that will take him to Auckland, New Zealand, where an annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit takes place Sept. 11-13.
