Kudo in U.S. for talks with major league teams

TOKYO, Japan - Pacific League MVP Kimiyasu Kudo of the Daiei Hawks is in the United States to negotiate with several teams from the North American major leagues, baseball sources confirm Nov. 20. Kudo, 36, who led Daiei to its first PL pennant and Japan Series title, became a free agent after the season ended and has already had talks with several Japanese teams including the Yomiuri Giants and the Chunichi Dragons.
