Times Square's countdown mirror ball tested

NEW YORK, United States - The New Year's Eve Ball of Times Square is lit up for a test on Dec. 1. The 485-kilogram ball, with a diameter of 1.83 meters, is made up of some 500 tiny glass triangles.
