Haneda airport begins preparing for Y2K
HANEDA, Japan - Employees at Tokyo's Haneda airport begin preparations Dec. 6 to check a portable emergency control tower (R) and radar (L) which might be needed if the Y2K computer problem hits the permanent facilities. The portable kit consists of a small control tower which can accommodate three controllers, and a radar apparatus covering a radius of about 100 kilometers.
