Albanian boy returns to Kosovo after treatment in Japan
NARITA, Japan - Nezir Shinik, a 3-year-old ethnic Albanian boy from Kosovo, poses for photographers with his father Abdurahman Shinik (L) and mother Hyrmet Shinik (R) at the Narita airport before boarding a flight to Yugoslavia on Dec. 8. Nazir received four months of treatment in Japan for an intractable eye disease. Nezir, who came to Japan with the support of the Association of Medical Doctors in Asia, was admitted to Kanazawa University Hospital in Ishikawa Prefecture in July.
