Albanian boy returns to Kosovo after treatment in Japan

NARITA, Japan - Nezir Shinik, a 3-year-old ethnic Albanian boy from Kosovo, poses for photographers with his father Abdurahman Shinik (L) and mother Hyrmet Shinik (R) at the Narita airport before boarding a flight to Yugoslavia on Dec. 8. Nazir received four months of treatment in Japan for an intractable eye disease.       OKAYAMA, Japan - Nezir Shinik, a 3-year-old ethnic Albanian boy from Kosovo, expresses thanks for having received four months of treatment in Japan for an intractable eye disease, at a news conference at the office of the Association of Medical Doctors in Asia (AMDA), in Okayama Prefecture. Nezir came to Japan with AMDA support and was admitted to Kanazawa University Hospital, Ishikawa Prefecture, in July. At his right is his mother.
