G-8 education ministers gather

TOKYO, Japan - Education ministers from the Group of Eight (G-8) countries gather at a reception in Tokyo on March 31 prior to three days of discussions that will focus on topics such as information technology in education and international exchanges. Ministers from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the United States will attend the meeting over the weekend in Tokyo and a one-day forum April 3 in Okinawa Prefecture. At the center is Japanese Education Minister Hirofumi Nakasone delivering a speech.
