Engine trouble forces U.S. military chopper to land on beach
MISAKI, Japan - A U.S. military attack helicopter (L) makes an emergency landing on a beach in Misaki, Ehime Prefecture, on April 18, apparently stricken by a malfunctioning engine. None of the pilots or crew members on board was injured and no damage was reported. The AH-1 attack helicopter, stationed in Okinawa Prefecture, and three others were way their back to the base from Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
