Japan's lower house dissolved

TOKYO, Japan - Japan's House of Representatives is dissolved by Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori on June 2 for a June 25 general election, amid a recent plunge in his popularity stemming from his controversial remark that Japan is ''a divine nation with the emperor at its center.'' The election will be the lower house's first in three years and eight months.
