Races canceled after empress dowager's death
TOKYO, Japan - Horse races are canceled June 17 following the death of the 97-year-old Empress Dowager Nagako on June 16. The photo shows an official of the Japan Racing Association putting up posters on a wall at an off-track betting establishment in Tokyo's Uchisaiwaicho saying the association will cancel horse racing nationwide June 17.
