Subway head resigns over March derailment
TOKYO, Japan - Kiyoshi Terashima, president of Teito Rapid Transit Authority, operator of a Tokyo subway network, bows at the Transport Ministry on June 27 after apologizing and announcing his resignation over the March 8 derailment of a subway train near Nakameguro Station on the Hibiya Line. The derailment left five passengers dead and 36 others injured.
