Construction Ministry searched in bribery case
TOKYO, Japan - Officials of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office take out documents confiscated at the Construction Ministry in Tokyo on July 3 in a search related to allegations of bribery by former Construction Minister Eiichi Nakao. Nakao allegedly accepted 30 million yen in bribes from Wakachiku Construction Co. in return for helping put Wakachiku on the ministry's list of firms designated to bid for public works contracts.
