Sogo seeks court-mandated restructuring

TOKYO, Japan - Kyoichi Yamada (R), president of financially troubled department store chain operator Sogo Co., and two of his colleagues bow from the waist at a news conference in Tokyo on July 12. Yamada said his company filed with the Tokyo District Court for protection from creditors, aiming to seek rehabilitation.
