Seiyo of Saison group files for liquidation

TOKYO, Japan - Hiroshi Ota (C), president of Seiyo Corp., announces at a press conference July 18 that the financially troubled real estate developer belonging to the Saison retail group filed for liquidation with the Tokyo District Court the same day. With 19 of Seiyo's 30 affiliated companies to be liquidated as well, the 20 companies' liabilities total 553.8 billion yen.
